Accounting Question

The final project paper covers the topics discussed and presented in the course. This assignment

is due in Unit 7.
Your paper will analyze your personal ethics as well as your current (or previous or future) IT
department and/or organization and contain three parts:
Part 1
: Complete the
Personal Ethics Audit
(see
Resource Inventory
). Mention your
score and analyze your decisions. Answer the two questions; 1) what is my standard? and
2) where does it come from? Finally, detail your approach to ethical decision-making.
Make sure to draw from class materials as appropriate.
Part 2
: Based on class materials, analyze your IT organization’s (past, current, or future)
ethics statement (and/or code) and their approach to ethical decision-making. Use the
diagram in the Reynolds text as a guide (see Chapter 1: TABLE 1-4
Manager’s Checklist
for Establishing an Ethical Work Environment
) along with any other pertinent class
materials.
Part 3
: Take one or two of the IT ethical issues covered in class (or an IT issue that was
not covered but is of particular importance to you), using class materials and any outside
research, provide a detailed statement of the ethical problem, as well as, what individuals
and organizations should do when faced with the problem.

Prepare the Final Paper using the following guidelines:

• 3,500 – 4,000 words
• APA-compliant formatting, including title and reference pages
